New Student – Account Creation & Full Registration

A. Creating a New Account (Sign Up)

Open your browser and go to https://mbsedu.com.ng

Click the large Apply Now / Enrolment / Register button (usually on homepage or in top menu)

You will be taken to the sign-up page: https://mbsedu.com.ng/portal/user/account/register

Fill in the form fields:
  • β€’ Last Name
  • β€’ First Name
  • β€’ Middle Name (optional)
  • β€’ Date of Birth (use calendar picker)
  • β€’ Email Address (must be active – you will receive messages here)
  • β€’ Username (choose something simple you can remember – often becomes your student ID later)
  • β€’ Password (at least 8 characters, include number & symbol)
  • β€’ Confirm Password

Read and check the Terms & Conditions / Privacy Policy box

Click Create Account or Register

You should see a success message β†’ check your email for confirmation / activation link
Important: If you do not receive an email within 10 minutes β†’ check Spam/Junk folder β†’ add no-reply@mbsedu.com.ng or info@mainlandbusinessschool.edu to contacts.

B. Completing Student Registration / Profile (After First Login)

Go to https://mbsedu.com.ng/accounts/login

Log in with the username + password you just created

The system will usually force you to the Complete Registration or Profile Setup wizard

Next of Kin (Name + Phone + Relationship)

Upload passport photograph (white background, recent, ≀ 200 KB)

Click Save & Continue

Select highest qualification (e.g. SSCE, NECO, GCE, NABTEB)

Enter Examination Number / Candidate Number

Year of Examination

School Attended

Upload scanned result / certificate (clear PDF or image)

Click Add Qualification if you have multiple

Choose Exam Type (WAEC / NECO / NABTEB / GCE)

Enter Exam Number

Exam Year

Click Fetch Results (if system can auto-pull) or manually enter subjects & grades

Make sure English & Mathematics are included and have credit (C6 or better)

Upload full result sheet (PDF/JPG)

Select Programme of Study (e.g. Computer Science, Business Administration)

Choose Mode (Full-time / Part-time / Online)

Select Intended Level / Year of Entry (100 Level / Direct Entry)

Enter JAMB Registration Number (if applicable)

JAMB Score (if required)

Enter full name of referee (teacher, pastor, employer etc.)

Referee’s Phone Number

Referee’s Email (optional but recommended)

Relationship to applicant

Referee’s Address / Occupation

Birth Certificate / Age Declaration

O'Level Result (WAEC/NECO scratch card details already entered)

JAMB Result Slip (if applicable)

Passport Photograph (already uploaded in personal info)

Any other required document (e.g. Direct Entry form, Degree certificate for top-up)

Click Submit Application or Final Submit
Congratulations! Your application has been submitted. You will receive an email/SMS when it is reviewed. Check admission status regularly at https://mbsedu.com.ng/admission/status

Continuing Students – Course & Exam Procedures

C. Course Registration (Returning Students)

Log in to portal

Click Course Registration in the menu

Choose current Session and Semester

View list of offered courses for your level

Tick courses you want (core + electives)
6
Check total units (do not exceed maximum allowed)

Click Preview Registration

Verify everything β†’ click Final Submit

Download / Print Course Form

D. Exam Registration

Log in β†’ go to Exam Registration or Examination Portal

Select the semester / exam period

You should see courses you registered for
4
Confirm / select papers you intend to write (usually auto-filled)

Check for any outstanding fees – pay if required
6
Click Submit Exam Registration

Download / Print Exam Registration Slip (bring to exam hall)

E. Taking an Online Exam / CBT Quiz

Log in at least 30 minutes before exam time

Go to My Exams / Online Examination / CBT

Find your scheduled exam (course code + date/time)

Click Start Exam or Enter Exam

Read instructions & rules carefully
6
Allow camera & microphone if proctored (follow on-screen prompts)
7
Click Begin / Start Test
8
Answer questions – use Next, Previous, Flag for review
9
When finished β†’ click Submit Exam (big red button usually)

Wait for confirmation β†’ you may see score instantly or later
Exam Rules Reminder:
β€’ Do not refresh or close browser
β€’ Stable internet required
β€’ No extra tabs / phone usage (proctor may detect)
β€’ Submit before timer ends – system auto-submits at 00:00
